ABOUT

We find the problem inside the problem.

The problem stated is rarely the whole problem.

A funding issue can be a decision problem.

A donor problem can be a connection issue.

A knowledge problem can turn out to be something else entirely.

We come in when the visible problem may not be the real one.

IMAGINATION ARCHITECTURE

Every problem hides a future no one has imagined yet.

“Diagnosis tells you where you are. Imagination tells you where you could go.”

— Adrienne Annau

Finding the real problem is only the beginning. From there, we imagine what’s possible and give it shape through strategy, systems, experiences and stories.

The ambition isn’t simply to fix what’s broken. It’s to create something better than anyone thought possible.

Different contexts. Same kind of problem.

Complex decisions. Stalled transformations. Competing explanations. Customer behaviour that does not match expectations.

We come in when the visible problem may not be the real one.

THE PRACTICE

“I’ve spent my career in rooms where the real problem wasn’t the one on the brief. Finding it and saying it clearly is where the best work begins.” — Adrienne Annau

We work with organizations facing complex customer, product and business challenges.

By questioning assumptions, understanding behaviour and connecting customer needs with business realities, we help teams see the problem more clearly and decide what to do next.

Our work spans diagnosis, strategic direction and the experiences that bring it to life.

THE NAME

Sir Maxwell Barker was a dog with an uncanny instinct for people.

He understood behaviour instinctively without needing it explained.

The name is a reminder to pay attention to the signals beneath what people say.
